My name's Marlee. It's nice to meet you.

Click on the picture below to watch a short video of me having a little fun.

As you can probably tell by the short legs, I'm a corgi mix. But I'm not spastic like some corgis can be (believe me, I've lived with 2). I'm about 3.5 years old.

In fact, I'm super mellow. Probably one of the most mellow dogs you'll ever meet in your whole entire life.

I'm extremely gentle and well-behaved. And even though I'm a little shy with strangers, I'm very tolerant with everybody. I even used to live with a 1-year old toddler who I liked very much and used to give very soft licks to.

I'm a quiet girl and my foster mum says I'm unassuming. I won't demand a lot of attention from you and am just happy to stay by your side.

My foster mum says I'm the velcro-est dog she's ever met because I like to stick by her heels and follow her everywhere.

I also like to snuggle.

Ahhh, heaven.

Tummy rubs are pretty nice too.

I am crate-trained and housetrained but I'll need some time to get used to my new routine. I also get along with all other dogs.

I love food.

Oh, yessiree I do I do.

I'm a little on the tubby side right now, but my foster mum has me on a natural, homemade diet that's helping me to regain my girlish figure. Does my butt look too big?

But in case you haven't noticed, I'm still pretty huggable.

My huggability often results in quite a bit of squeezing. It's a cross I just have to bear.

So that there's not a mob always surrounding me, I sometimes have to go incognito.

Psssst. It's me, Marlee.

They call me a Special Needs dog. I think that means that I especially need you to love me.

I take medication because I used to get seizures. I haven't had any episodes for a while though so the medicine seems to be working. I hope I don't, but I may get them every once in a while in the future. I have to visit the vet every 6 months for a checkup, but I don't mind as long as you're with me.

I ride in a car just fine and I am great on the leash. I won't run off either if I'm off-leash. But the medicine zaps some of my energy so I walk very slow. I love going for walks, and I can go for a good distance, just at a slower pace.

I'm being fostered in Antioch right now. If you'd like to meet me, please email your completed Adoption Application. There is a $225 tax-deductible adoption fee which will include my crate, dog bed, ceramic dishes, leash, collar, and toys. I'm spayed, microchipped, current on all my shots, and just had a checkup in April.

My medical condition hasn't affected my capacity to love. My foster mum says that I am a truly sweet dog and very easy to fall in love with. And if anything, my special need will only make you want to love me even more. I hope that's true because even though I'm having a jolly time with my foster mum, nothing would make me happier than finally have a Forever Home of my own. Please bring me home soon.
